Professional help needed

OK I get to be the lucky person to test Office 2003 with all or most of our stuff (aka applications). Of course I have to do it while doing my other duties. Yeah, let's talk OT since I have to do pretty much everything. ugh!

My question to the industry folks that read this: I know there are some issues with Office 2k3 with lesser versions of Sharepoint. Are there other known issues with other MS products? I'd like to be enlightened as early as possible. Just to help with the troubleshooting. I also have to figure out how bad/good it is from upgrading from Office 2k to 2k3.

Yes any help is totally welcomed and possibly rewarded. Thanks all. :D

Pissed off!

I hate being pissed off but when I am, watch out! I will attack whomever with all that I know and throw it at them.

Anyway, I was just changing channels on my wonderful HDTV cable so that I have some noise while I'm putzing around the house. Well I was thinking there would be something on HBO. Lo-and-behold, nothing on the damn screens.
I call the stupid bastards up. History here is: I have trouble with my RR connection like staying up most of the time I'm on it, I lose channels 315 and 316 so that RR can work, AND I pay over 100 bucks for this "convenience". Yeah if this great service continues, I'm cutting RR off before the end of the year and go back to dial-up. At least it doesn't drop my connection two or three times within an hour!
So they tell me to reboot the receiver, this causes me more grief due to the fact every time I do that, I have trouble getting the picture back on the TV. I have to turn that on and off several times and reboot the box again to get it to synch.

Yeah makes me want to fuckin rip out the entire AOL Time Warner BS! If I could hang a Satellite dish out a window without putting holes in anything I might just switch to that. Maybe when I move to LA I'll do that.

Question of the day: What are your favorite flowers to see, smell, and give.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday whether you are traveling near or far. On that note: eat up!!

Here's what I'm up to this long weekend. Tonight I'm working at Planet. I guess there is some band playing that is pretty much sold out. hmmm. Thursday - Turkey day - laundry I'm sure and hanging about the house until it's time to get the G-folks to the restaurant. After I might head over to Jen's folks place and play card games there.
Friday night is Planet again. During the day I'd like to see a movie if anyone is game let me know. Otherwise, I'll stay home and do some work. ick! Saturday is more work during the day. Not sure if I'm working Planet that night or not. It's still in the air. Other than that, I'm hanging with my naked babies.

My two cuties sweeties got their quarterly LION haircut. They are so soft and cute I just can't keep my hands off of them. hehe

Have a fun one.

Well that was a night

Didn't get blind but did have to concentrate when walking. hehe
Good thing Geo was doing the driving me to and from Planet. Also thanks to John and Waiken for helping the cause. :D

Well I didn't have a hang over or anything brutal. A little cottonmouth but the Sierra Mist took care of that. Was still drunk around 930 when I woke. Good thing I had some food in the fridge I could just re-heat. lol
O Geo, if you think that you'll be living much longer now that you know way TOO much about me; well ok. It's only cause you have a wifey and kids to bother. Do expect to get more bleeding heart phone calls from now on. LOL

Here's a little something for ya to beat your boss over. Kinda felt good to do after a week of working.

Ah..... home

Was out last night in a different city. It's good to be back home. I missed my babies.

Was in the Quad cities for a concert. It was nice to get out of town even if it was just for one night.

Did I mention that I love Fairfield Inn hotels??? I know they are not the ultimate in sleeping quarters but then again I'm just looking to sleep for about 8 hrs. That is exactly what I did. :) The showerhead was more powerful than the one I have here.

One cool part was being across from a Mall. Yeah, like a typical girl, I went shopping before the concert. It was an ok mall but the cool part is that I picked up an awesome little black dress. Hmmmm now I just have to find an occasion to wear it.

It was awesome to sleep in on Tuesday and just take my time doing anything. So I did. I went over to Bettendorf, IA and hit the riverboat casino. Waiken I did think of you as I passed up the Blackjack tables. hehe The riverboat has changed quite a bit since I was last there. There's no paddlewheel anymore. :( Damn changes.

Also, here's a little something one can do around the holidays.

Well, hi y'all and catch ya around town.

Just something to read and comment on.

The Dance

Once again the game is played.
Dancing in circles.
Exchanging glances.
Taking the lead.
Being a follower
Conversation conducted in the air between us.

What to say? What to say.
We said everything?
Aloft are we?
Is there so much to say?
I’m afraid to tell all.
Loosing someone to talk to.
Great conversations.
Change of subject in the blink of an eye.

Have we rolled the dice?
Is it your turn or mine?
Move the pieces on the board.
The princess ahead one square or more?
The prince able to catch up?
Shall we dance before

Midnight.

New cool stuff

Benny Hill is back! I love that man! too bad he's dead. He was smart, funny, witty, and just naughty enough to get away with everything. :)

New show on the SciFi channel - Gargoyles. It was pretty interesting. Didn't expect Michael Pere to do so well in it. He's still a bit lame but not too bad that I wanted to change the channel.

SciFi will also be having this guy movie: Airs Thursday, November 11, at 7PM ET/PT

Not sure what it is about this movie but I just can't stop watching it on HBO lately. It could be Keanu but it can't be that. His character's part is small but he does have some pretty clever witty comeback lines. Maybe it's the whole story line of he's not interested, she's in no way interested then a comment from a third party turns their heads. Hmmmm is real life like this? Kinda reminds me of The Saint with Val Kilmer and Elisabeth Shue.

So what you think of this as a Tatoo on a girl's back/right shoulder area?

For the Geek in most of us:
Lord of the Rings: The Third Age game. Commercials on TV make it look pretty awesome. Screen shots on the site look pretty great. Aragorn is still hot!

Lord of the Rings site has a clip of one of the extended scenes in the Trilogy's final movie. It also tells of all that is included with the extended set.
The collector's set will have Minas Tirth from WETA. It looks pretty cool so I'll probably get that this time around instead of just the extended DVD. Now I just have to wait 'til Dec 14th. Damn!

Now to satisfy my curiosity.... What level of "smart" would you want out of your prospective lover, date, wife or significant other?

Continuing the story:

However, his longing for Esmeralda torments Frollo. He searches for his in the darkened church to be with her.

Frollo is shocked to discover that Quasimodo will fight to the death to protect Esmeralda from danger. Meanwhile the beggars of Paris mount an attack onto the façade of Notre Dame. While Quasimodo is distracted Gringoire leads Esmeralda through the church to safety.

Once outside the church, Gringoire betrays Esmeralda by giving her to the enemy, Frollo. Frollo begs Esmeralda to be his but she rather die! Hurt and outraged, Frollo summons the guards to drag her to the scaffold.

Quasimodo exerts his revenge on the Archdeacon with one mighty blow, leaving Frollo’s body crushed. It’s all too late. Esmeralda has been hung already. Heartbroken, Quasimodo takes her lifeless body into his arms. As light fades he mourns for the only love of his life.

Quite the funny .

Some folks were talking about how a temp or contract postion is freedom. I agree in some respects it is freedom. You don't have to deal with the office politics and get all wrapped up in the hassle of dealing with those that are incompatent. I on the other hand would welcome someone that has as much still as myself or MORE! Right now I'm dealing with a contractor that wants to do more than imaging or riemaging. Completely understand that thought process; however, he is still asking me questions about things that I have asked him to master. Mind you that I have some patience and there are days when I do not. But when I have nicely asked TWICE to master the area and there are still questions, how can I give you more responsibility/work if what you have is too much to master?!
Scott you can always work with me!

Hope you all are having a more plesent day than I.

Movie night tomorrow. Who's all in?
