Friends of Art's popular "Ornaments & Adornments" event returns to Windhover Hall November 19-21 to make your holiday shopping easy. Need help finding a gift? New this year, personal shoppers are ready to help you make that special purchase for everyone on your holiday shopping list. Choose from a selection of jewelry, fine wearables, ceramics and more by your favorite artists. Select from an assortment of wreaths decorated by local artists and designers. Visit the Unique Boutique, filled with one of a kind ornaments, chocolates and gift items.
Event admission is $5 and does not include admission to the museum galleries. Special First Glance on Friday, November 19 from 5:30 - 8 p.m., with first chance to make special purchases, cash bar and light snacks. Friday only, free admission to Masterpieces of American Art, 1770-1920, from the Detroit Institute of Arts. Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

For the Geek in most of us:
Lord of the Rings: The Third Age game. Commercials on TV make it look pretty awesome. Screen shots on the site look pretty great. Aragorn is still hot!

Lord of the Rings site has a clip of one of the extended scenes in the Trilogy's final movie. It also tells of all that is included with the extended set.
The collector's set will have Minas Tirth from WETA. It looks pretty cool so I'll probably get that this time around instead of just the extended DVD. Now I just have to wait 'til Dec 14th. Damn!

Now to satisfy my curiosity.... What level of "smart" would you want out of your prospective lover, date, wife or significant other?
