Hunchback of Notre Dame - Act II

Few things before I continue the great story.
Don't forget to change your clocks back ONE hour before heading out to party or bed.

The Milwaukee Ballet is holding a Nutcracker Raffle.
Here's the story of the prize. :)
Once upon a time (December 18th at 1:30pm), a young princess or prince and their royal family of four, were whisked through the snowy streets of the Kingdom of Downtown Milwaukee. They were drawn in a carriage by Arabian steeds to the land of Marcus Center for the Performing Arts and were received by their subjects, The Milwaukee Ballet. They were greeted with a gift basket full of autographed mementos. The noble family was escorted through a backstage tour prior to the magical production of, "The Nutcracker" ballet. Later, when seated in their Orchestra Seats, the lights dimmed, and the family was immersed into a winter wonderland of holiday trees, candy, Snow, Flowers and Sugarplums. From a backstage throne, (during the second act), the princess or prince ran onstage and made a flower presentation to the Sugarplum Fairy. The photograph of the cast surrounding them on stage proved that it wasn't a dream, but a memory that will last forever....

Now on with the show highlights.
Fleur de Lys waits for a visit from her fiancé, Captain Phoebus (aka slim ball). She and her friends work on a tapestry and Fleur dances. The Captain's arrival sends the girls into a fever of excited dressing and a formal dance, followed by a duet for the betrothed pair. The sounds from the street are heard by all. Esmeralda is invited to entertain Fleur and her friends. Her grace and beauty invoke hostility of the aristocratic girls. They then ensue to humiliate and dismiss the girl.
In a seedy part of Paris, Captain Phoebus arrives and is well known here. Shocker I know! He sends creepy kinda cute Gringoire to find beautiful Esmeralda. However an unknown freak follows her. *There will be commentaries thru the rest of this. I have to invoke my opinion in here somewhere. hehe continue please. * Phoebus begins his seduction of Esmeralda but as things get heated the unknown figure appears. It’s Frollo! He stabs Phoebus then escapes into the shadows of the night. Guards arrested Esmeralda for the murder.
A distraught Esmeralda is terrified, as she lies alone in the darkness of a prison cell. She is led to the steps of Notre Dame for her final penance. Quasimodo swings down from the battlements of the Cathedral and carries her off to sanctuary.

** intermission #2 **

Have a safe and fun Halloween all. Until next time.
